About the artist:
First and foremost, I am a Muslim and forever may I be of this ummah. I strive to represent our people in my own way, which is through socially conscious rap music. Regardless of what the haters say, I'm not trying to be "the next big thing" or whatever, I just want to do as I want, to further the cause. I believe we all have skills and mine are rhyming and writing so those are the ones I use to try and make a difference. Very influential in my life was El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz, the American Shaheed. His autobiography was the vessel which drove me to be more fervent in this Deen and dedicated to justice. Along with brother Malcolm, another great leader from recent times whom I admire is Tupac Amaru Shakur, who channeled his love for the people into raps - which is also my own goal.
